
HANNA HAAPAMÄKI
Hanna Haapamäki plays recorder and traverso, and she is known as an active musician who has performed solo and as a chamber musician in numerous old music ensembles and orchestras. Hanna is a member of the Baroque ensemble Baccanon and the Bravade recorder quartet. She plays recorder and traverso in the Helsinki Baroque Orchestra, the Finnish Baroque Orchestra and Espoo baroque, as well. Her performances have taken Hanna to a number of music festivals, both domestic and abroad ea. to Japan and around Europe. In addition to playing solo, chamber and as a orchestra musician, Hanna is extremely fond of doing concerts for children. In fact, Hanna has visited countless schools and day-care centers in Finland where she has passed on the good news of recorder and Baroque music.
Hanna has received her education at the Sibelius Academy as a student of Rabbe Forsman, at the Helsinki Polytechnic Stadia under Petra Aminoff, and at the Amsterdam Conservatory under Saskia Coolen, Paul Leenhouts and Jed Wentz.
The Finnish Cultural Foundation, The Alfred Kordelin Foundation and Arts Promotion Centre Finland have supported Hanna Haapamäkis artistic work.
